Seven, Seven, Seven!

I wanted to get some shots of this little guy on his “birth” day …however, he decided to present himself to the world on the busiest day of the wedding season this year - 7/7/7!! Needless to say, I couldn’t leave the wedding to photograph his birth.

Congratulations Eric and Erica on your little 7/7/7 baby, weighing 6 lbs 11 oz (when my kids heard that they said, “Six plus one is seven! This baby is all sevens!!”). He was born at 4:33pm. (to which my kids remarked, “Hey four plus three is also seven! See!”) Noah was 18.5 inches. (My kids said, “Eight minus one is seven!”) I think they just needed an excuse to keep talking to me. I told them, “Enough!! Leave me alone!”

Welcome to the world Little Noah!

Samoa!

The very popular wedding date of 7-7-07 has come and gone. We had huge festivities at our 7-7-7 wedding with a Samoan wedding. Have you ever been to a Samoan wedding? Love the dancing!! Oh and there is never a cake shortage at a Samoan wedding. They had two cakes - each about five tiers with extensions!! The reception was held at the Anaheim Hilton.  Perfect fit for the 500+ guests. Anyway … Pete and Vao Ta’ase were such a sweet couple. There was SO much going on and they just kept right on going! Congratulations guys!!

Did I mention that there were 14 bridesmaids and 14 groomsmen? The last Samaoan wedding we did has 23 bridesmaids and 23 groomsmen. So I guess this was pretty small in comparison. :)

Did Someone Say Chocolate?

Remember when I was teasing and said that one of our couples was considering our flavor preferences for their wedding cake? Well, that chocolate cake WAS good! We actually had it in the car on the way home! Monique insisted that we have cake even as we were leaving. So the great staff at Pacific Edge California Bistro packed one up for us! Yay! Tim and Monique were a lot of fun. We started at the Torrance Hilton, then Malaga Cove Library, then Wayfarer’s Chapel, then the Redondo Beach Pier, then Pacific Edge CA Bistro. Lotta movement but a lot of fun too! Congratulations again guys!!

My 7-7-07 …

What you won’t do … do for love ….. :) Remember that song?

We do a lot for love, don’t we? Pete and Salavao are my 7-7-07 wedding clients. They are getting married at First Christian Congregation in Huntington Beach and then the reception follows at the Anaheim Hilton. We did a very, very short engagement session when we found out that Pete had a tonsil infection, a substantial temperature and was on all kinds of medication! We couldn’t believe that he actually came out for this session!! Whatta guy!

A Resort Wedding

resort: a hotel featuring a broad range of amenities, sports facilities, and other leisure attractions, designed to provide a total vacation experience.

Yep, that totally describes Rancho Valencia in Rancho Santa Fe. Even though Matt and Rose actually live in Marina del Rey, they decided that Rancho Valencia (in the San Diego area) would be the perfect spot for their wedding. Good choice. They were a lot of fun and planned a unique wedding … complete with a magician and a psychic.
