Surprise! Surprise!

This is Little C. (Yes, I did try to convince her parents to name her Mae but … yet again …. another couple unwilling to give in to the whims of the photographer. Sheesh!!) Anyway, this little girl surprised her family when she decided to arrive just as her dad got home to take mom to the hospital! So dear ole dad had to catch her as she slid on out. Surprise! Good thing dad knew what to do. I’m so glad my kids didn’t surprise us this way!! These pictures were taken after her arrival at the hospital via ambulance. Isn’t she cute?!!

I Dreamed of a Wedding …

“I dreamed of a wedding of elaborate elegance,
A church filled with family and friends.
I asked him what kind of a wedding he wished for,
He said one that would make me his wife.”
Unknown

Isn’t that sweet?! That’s the attitude I picked up from Damon as he married his fiance, Brittany. They were married at a place called Swiss Park in Whittier. Here are some of my favorites.

Maweege, Twue Wuv ….

Maweege, Twue Wuv … :) :)   I just watched Princess Bride again.  Love that movie!!  I don’t think I can ever get tired of watching that one. Okay … I’ve been really lagging on my blog lately.  So much to do and so little time!  Then the kids got me hooked on their electronic Sudoku!  (aka Nintendo DS!)  Like I need something else to do!! :)  Enough about my insanity.  Let’s move on …. here are some engagement shots from Damon and Brittany.  They are actually already married!  They came in two months before their wedding so we did the engagement session and wedding pretty close to each other.  When these two said they wanted to get in the water for engagement shots … we knew we had a fun couple to work with!

Like good wine…

Like good wine, marriage gets better with age - once you learn to keep a cork in it. ~Gene Perret

Michael (my husband) and I should’ve had this quote back when we first got married!! Not that it would’ve kept us from mouthing off. :) It’s amazing that after all these years we get along so well and even choose to work together!

Check out this wedding we shot recently … Tom and Nicki were married at American Martyr’s Church in Manhattan Beach and then we headed over to Fort Macarthur in San Pedro for the wedding festivities.
