Sign Language

Sign Language is such a wonderful skill to have! It’s great when I can sign to my kids from across a crowded room to “Sit down, close your mouth and pay attention!” It’s even better when they actually do it! :) I wish I taught more ASL (American Sign Language) to my children … I guess it’s never too late. My younger ones are starting to create their own signs and they expect me to understand what they are saying. I think I have to teach them now because … the signs they are creating could have people wondering what kind of mother I am! :) Well, I was able to practice my ASL at a wedding recently since the Bride and Groom were hard of hearing. Edgar and Heidi were married at The Reef in Long Beach. They were such good hearted people to work with and I had a lot of fun with them … although I learned that it’s really hard to hold two cameras and use sign language at the same time. Oh and I loved Heidi’s shoes!! :)

Sleep is Overrated

Okay, it’s late and …oh no … I’ve got writer’s block! … and I’m not even a writer! A friend just sent me an email reminding me to update my blog. Some friend! :-) I should’ve had him write an entry for me since my brain is so fried right now. Hmmm … okay we recently shot a wedding in Fallbrook. It’s beautiful out there! We shot Matt and Shelly at Los Willows. They had a wonderfully fun coordinator, Su Lin. (Yes, she was named after the panda bear from China. :-) ) Matt & Shelly’s family and friends were wonderfully fun as well! Here is the happy couple …

There’s No Point Being Grown Up ….

“There’s no point in being grown up if you can’t be childish sometimes.” - Dr. Who

I had a really good time with these nine children the other day. They are from four different families but are all cousins. They were all really good kids and we had fun running, jumping and rolling around on the grass. I was tired but I had so much fun with them. Their parents must have started to wonder what kind of crazy photographer they hired. :) Actually one of the moms said it was fun to see the kids and the photographer all having such a grand time. I think I had more fun than the kids :) kids035.jpgkids030.jpgkids048.jpg1kids094.jpg2kids143.jpgkids132.jpgkids119.jpg
