Hi! I just had to post my all time favorite wedding image. This was from a wedding I shot a few years ago. It was at a home in Poway, which is in San Diego. The bride did not get ready in this room but as she was getting into position to walk outside for the ceremony to begin, the groomsmen ushered her and her girls into this back master’s bedroom because the groom was coming into the house to go to the bathroom. What a commotion THAT caused! They were a very conservative crew and no one wanted the groom to see the bride. I thought the action would be all the groomsmen helping the groom make a beeline for the bathroom so I stood at the door shooting the groomsmen who were laughing and teasing the groom. But as I walked back into the room, the girls were mumbling about who had already arrived and they were looking out the window, the light was coming in, and the bride was looking excited but pensive. Perfect - THAT’s where the action was. That’s what I love about photographing weddings, the challenge of anticipating what you think is coming while being flexible and open enough to see what actually does come. In addition, I am such a people person and weddings have the happiest people around!
Wow! That sounded so feeling and deep. Who was that??!!
